5 days desert tour from Marrakech

Pick you up from the hotel/riad and start the trip from Marrakech to the Dades Gorge. We pass the Tizi-n-Tichka pass in the Atlas, with breathtaking views of the mountains, to Telouet a traditional Berber village of the High Atlas and continue to Ait Benhaddou to visit the UNESCO World Heritage Site, Ait Benhaddou, a spectacular fortified village (Ksour). We will have lunch in Ait Benhaddou or Ouarzazate and continue to the Dades Valley, overnight at the riad/hotel in the Dades Gorge.

After breakfast, we go from Dades to Todra Gorge, Tenghir and the Sahara desert in Merzouga, Berber villages on the way. We pass through Tinjdad, Jorf and Erfoud where we will begin to feel the air of the Sahara oasis in Tafilalet and continue to Merzouga, one night in riad / hotel near the dunes.

After breakfast at the hotel/riad. You can explore the neighboring villages of Merzouga such as Hassi Labied, Khamlia where you can listen to the black musicians of Mali. You can also enjoy a 4×4 ride in the dunes of Erg Chebbi and see the nomads living in tents in the desert, take a lunch with the nomads – Berber pizza. In the afternoon we will take a camel ride to see the sunset over the dunes and spend a night in the desert camp. We will have a traditional tajin dinner, drink delicious mint tea, listen to Berber music while resting under the stars and watch the moon rise over the enchanting Sahara desert.

Early morning departure by 4×4 through Rissani (cradle of the Alaouite dynasty) and the immense mountain of Bougafer. Lunch in N’Kob (first village on the road). Afternoon excursion on the road of the thousand kasbahs (we will enjoy the best of the Draa valley river). Arrival in Ouarzazate at sunset. Dinner and overnight at the hotel.

Leaving Ouarzazate in the morning, we will visit the majestic mountains of the High Atlas. We will cross the High Atlas at the highest pass in Morocco – Tizni Tichka at 2260m above sea level, offering breathtaking views of valleys, mountains and Berber villages.
