5-day Marrakech to Fes desert tour

We start our desert journey with a convenient pickup from your Fes hotel or riad to start your 5-day excursion from Fes to Marrakech. Our journey into the desert is marked by a number of notable stops, such as the gorgeous Ziz Valley, the tranquil cedar forest next to Azrou, where Barbary monkeys may be spotted, and the quaint village of Ifrane.

When you go to the Merzouga desert in the afternoon, take a real camel ride over the captivating dunes, ending with a stunning sunset view from the top of a high dune. Enjoy a hot cup of tea when you arrive at our opulent camp and then retire to your own tent.

Savor a delicious meal at the camp, then spend a magical evening by the campfire, where traditional Berber songs and pulsating drumbeats blend together beneath the stars.

For those who rise early, the day starts with the chance to witness a magnificent sunrise. After a filling breakfast, get ready for an exciting day in the Merzouga desert.

Start your adventure by traveling to Khamlia, a quaint community well-known for its Gnawa music. We will then travel off-road to M'Fis, a deserted community well-known for its Galena mines, which produce a mineral used in cosmetics.

Visit a family who live close to the Erg Chebbi Dunes to get a firsthand look at their nomadic way of life. You may learn more about the Berber way of life and feel the warmth of their traditional hospitality here.

Following a filling lunch, we will go to a quaint riad with stunning views of Erg Chebbi's golden sand dunes. Before watching the sunset, take a time to relax or have a cool swim. Enjoy a leisurely walk to the dunes later on to see another breathtaking sunset.

We will depart for Dades Valley after enjoying a delicious breakfast at your riad in Merzouga.

We will stop at a number of interesting locations along the way, including Rissani, Tinghir Oasis, Todra Canyon, and Todra Gorge. You will have the opportunity to fully immerse yourself in the colorful tapestry of a traditional Moroccan market if it is market day in Rissani on Sunday, Tuesday, or Thursday.

It's a great opportunity to view regional handicrafts, spices, and delicious street cuisine. There will be plenty stops along the way to record special moments and discover regional customs. When you get in Todra Canyon, you can stroll slowly and take in the stunning cliffs that cover this natural wonder.

After enjoying a hearty breakfast at your hotel, you might like to take a guided climb through the fascinating Monkey Fingers Canyon or have a leisurely stroll around Dades Valley. Admire the striking vistas and unusual rock formations as you travel.

We will then travel to Kelaat M'Gouna, which is well-known for its Rose Valley. Take a walk down the valley and take in the beauty of the blooming roses if you arrive in the spring.

We will continue our journey till we arrive in Skoura, a magnificent oasis with enormous groves of palm trees. In the past, camel caravans going between the Mediterranean and Sub-Saharan Africa relied heavily on Skoura. Discover what life was like more over 300 years ago in the famous Amridil Kasbah.

We will take you to your hotel in Ouarzazate for a restful evening after you have finished touring the Kasbah. As you rest up for the next part of your trip, savor dinner and a cozy overnight stay.

We will set off to visit Ouarzazate, sometimes known as the Hollywood of Africa and a gateway to the desert, following a lovely breakfast at your hotel. Our program includes tours of the Atlas Studios and the Taourirt Kasbah, which offer insights into the cultural and cinematic significance of the city.

We will next travel to Ait Ben Haddou, which is well-known for its famous Kasbah, a magnificent example of Moroccan architecture. With appearances in well-known movies like Gladiator, The Mummy, and Game of Thrones, this historical landmark provides an enthralling look into Morocco's rich past.

After exploring and enjoying a filling lunch, we will travel over the magnificent High Atlas Mountains to Marrakech. A visit to the historic Telouet Kasbah, formerly a powerful stronghold of the El Glaoui dynasty, also known as the Palace of Glaoui, and pauses at magnificent vistas are part of our picturesque tour.
