3 days – Fes to Marrakech desert tour

It is strongly advised to get up early today in order to witness a serene sunrise. Following a delicious breakfast at your camp, you can decide between a comfortable car ride or a camel trek as your preferred means of transportation back to Merzouga town.

Travel via Rissani, Erfoud, and the breathtaking Todgha Gorges on your way to Boumalne Dades. Let's say a Tuesday, Thursday, or Sunday falls on the day of your visit. If so, you will get the chance to visit a typical market in Rissani, which will give you a better understanding of the lively culture of southern Morocco. In Tinghir, enjoy a leisurely walk beneath the majestic Todgha Gorge and alongside the Todra River.

Arrive in the afternoon in Boumalne Dades. Before you check into your lodging, take a scenic drive through the Dades Valley to a spot that offers stunning views of the amazing rock formations known as the "monkey fingers." You will spend the evening in the cozy surroundings of a little hotel located in the center of the Dades Valley.

Your three-day desert excursion from Fez to Marrakech comes to an end today. After enjoying a delicious breakfast at your lodging, travel through the picturesque Valley of Roses and Ouarzazate on your way to Ait Ben Haddou. You pass through many charming Berber communities on this trip.

You might choose to explore the Atlas Studio in Ouarzazate. Numerous movie sets and decorations have been preserved in this facility. Another option is to just capture a few striking pictures outside before continuing.

The renowned Kasbah of Ait Ben Haddou, which is only 15 kilometers from Ouarzazate, is well-known for its roles in Gladiator and Game of Thrones as Yunkai.

The trip continues to Marrakech after a visit to the Kasbah and a filling lunch, passing via the magnificent High Atlas Mountains and the high Tizi n’Tichka pass (2260 meters above sea level).
